Red Lion Reopening

The official reopening of the Red Lion took place on 3 December 2004 at 12.45pm. The pub had previously been damaged after a serious fire and opened again for business on 29 October after a £475,000 refurbishment. Speeches were made by Chris Gill, Fire Officer for Bucks and Michael Turner, Fuller's Chief Executive. The Brewery dray horses ferried school children around the village and prizes were presented for their drawings of the pub. A raffle was held for the Firemen's Benevolent Fund. Fullers presented a master cellarman certificate to Ron Gatt; the 100th for its four-hundred pub estate.
