Charles Shipley

Rector of Finmere 1812 to 1814. Earlier he was accused of a homosexual act:

Have you heard that Young Shipley the Clergyman brother to Coln Shipley has been accused of an attempt of a nature not to be mentioned on a boy in Oxford? and that a trial is to take place there at the next Assises. It is believed that he is quite innocent, but I at least I may be allowed to say from all I have heard he has been imprudent. (Thomas Fremantle to William Henry Fremantle, 10 January 1809.
