Churchyard: Ashwell

Seymour Ashwell was Rector of Finmere from 1886 to 1901. His wife, Louisa Agnes was painted several watercolours of the village. Their graves line path from the south chancel door to Ashwell's Rectory. His father, William was Patron of the parish and lived at Chetwode. 

These pictures were taken before the unfortunate removal of the kerbstones and railings to facilitate mowing.
